• Daiya/Fuuko
Daiya and Fuuko connect right from the start. Slowly, Fuuko develops a crush on Daiya—quickly he denies her, saying that he does not know what love really is. After this, Fuuko ignores Daiya in pain not knowing that Daiya was experiencing the same pain as she. She realizes this later on, and attempts to mend things. The friendship is awkward at first, but slowly they are able to rebuild it back up again.
Daiya begins to feel things for Fuuko that he had never felt before, and right as he realizes that he loves her she announces that she likes Ichi. He’s naturally crushed, but doesn’t say anything and supports her through her and Ichi’s entire ordeal. When Iori comes into Ichi’s picture, Fuuko finds herself being compared her by Ichi and ultimately realizes that he would never be able to let Iori go. This is ever evident when Ichi says that he’s going to try things over with Iori.
Fuuko runs to Daiya, who hates to see her cry, and says that if they were to be together, he would never make her cry. Daiya then says that he was going to take advantage of this time now that Ichi was out of the running for her heart. She’s shocked and finds it awkward. Still, Daiya openly expresses his unrequited love for Fuuko to everyone he knows. Although he may seem silly or untrue, Daiya proves that he truly loves Fuuko and sticks by her side in hopes that she may one day return his feelings.
One day Fuuko tears up over Ichi again, and Daiya feels the pain and decides that he’s finally had enough. He proposes that Fuuko date him, promising that he would help her forget Ichi if she would only let him. Fuuko thinks it over for a while, and finally agrees, deciding that she loved Daiya once and she would be able to love him again.
